The Chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Mr Li Ruihuan, on the third day of his visit to Hong Kong had a meeting with representatives from various sectors of the community at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre this (November 7) morning.
Afterwards Chairman Li toured around HKCEC. At the Grand Hall, he was briefed on its architectural features and the set up of the venue for the Handover Ceremony. He then visited the Exhibition Hall where the ceremony marking the inauguration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's Administration, Legislature and Judiciary was held on July 1, 1997.
At noon, Chairman Li hosted a lunch for the current Chairman and past chairmen of the Hong Kong Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.
